Terms and Conditions for Tikka Shikka/ Jai Ho Indian Restaurant Richmond Catering Services

 

  1. Definitions
  • “Client” refers to the individual or organization booking the catering services.
  • “Caterer” refers to the service provider fulfilling the catering contract.
  • “Event Date” refers to the date on which the catering services will be provided.
  • “Services” refers to the provision of food, beverages, staff, equipment, and other associated catering activities.
  1. Booking and Payment
  • A deposit of 20% is required upon booking to secure the date and services.
  • Minimum of 40 guests are required to book our Tikka Shikka Live catering service, Please contact us if your event is below 40 guests so we can offer a customised package.
  • The balance is due 48 hours prior to the Event Date unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Minimum spend applies plus any fuel surcharge
  • A fuel surcharge is applicable based on the distance
  • We require a flat area of 6 square meters with power outlet for our set up & Hot water sink for skewers and equipment washing
  • Packages include disposable cutlery, plates, bowls & napkins for the event
  • Catering duration is 3 hours extra charges apply for longer duration events
  • Final guest count and menu selections must be confirmed at least 7 days before the Event Date.
  1. Cancellations and Refunds
  • Deposit is non-refundable, if due to unexpected circumstance the party is cancelled management reserves the right to withhold the deposit or to roll it over to a future party catering subject to availability.
  1. Menu and Guest Count Changes
  • Menu items and quantities will be as per the agreed selections. Any changes to the menu or guest count including kids must be communicated and confirmed at least 7 days in advance.
  • Additional charges of 20% may apply if the guest count increases beyond the confirmed number on the event date.
  1. Food and Beverage Policy
  • The Caterer provides food and beverages as per the agreed menu. Any additional items requested on-site are subject to availability and additional charges.
  • Kids below the age of 10 years are charged half price of the package selected. The client must inform the caterer of the accurate number of guests to avoid food and service arrangements to exhaust on the day of the event.
  1. Dietary Requirements and Allergies
  • The Client must inform the Caterer of any dietary restrictions or allergies at least 14 days prior to the event.
  • While the Caterer will do its best to accommodate special dietary needs, it is not liable for any adverse reactions from food consumed at the event.
  1. Liability and Indemnification
  • The Caterer is not responsible for any loss or damage to the Client’s property or injuries that may occur at the event unless caused by the Caterer’s negligence.
  • The Client agrees to indemnify and hold the Caterer harmless against any claims, liabilities, and expenses arising from the event.
  • The Client grants Tikka Shikka permission to capture photographs and/or videos of the event, including food, setup, guests and client with food and surroundings and general event activities, for use in promotional materials, social media, and marketing campaigns. The Client warrants that they have informed their guests of this clause and obtained any necessary consents for photography or videography at the event. If the Client does not consent to the use of event photos or videos for promotional purposes, they must notify Tikka Shikka in writing prior to the event
  1. Force Majeure
  • The Caterer shall not be held liable for delays or failures to perform due to events beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of terrorism, and government regulations.
  1. External Venue
  • External venue/public place/private property must be approved by Management in advance for safe working space for caterer and its team and functionality of all supplied equipment at the venue’s commercial kitchen or the provision of caterer to bring the required equipment as agreed with the client, any absence or malfunction of plant & equipment which was agreed to be provided by the venue would lead to extra costs for arranging alternative plant & equipment to cater the event.
  • The caterer reserves the right to reject any venue or supplier that does not meet its standards or requirements.
  • Client must ensure the venue provides sufficient bump in and bump out time as required for the preparation of the selected menu and set up & removal of caterers equipment
  1. Agreement
  • By paying the deposit, the Client agrees to these terms and conditions.
